It’s so rewarding to have a copy of The Eversteam Chronicles: Book One in my hands! This is the page that lists my illustrations in the book. I’m so glad that I got to work with Jude and create drawings from her universe. When she first gave me a digital draft to read, I could hardly stop smiling as I did so. I love Terry Pratchett and that sort of dark fantastical humor. This book definitely hit that funny bone for me. I love satire and satire with angels, demons, reality and unreality is fab. This book is so fun. BUT, there is a sweet story here, too. I’m so proud that I got to be the one drawing for it!
My favorite drawing, if I had to pick one, is “Into UnReality.” It’s the first one I wanted to draw, too. The idea of a clockwork raven turning into a flesh raven as it flies out of reality is such a unique idea! Working on this book definitely made me grow as an illustrator from honing my process with using only pencil to scanning and formatting. I am already working on some more drawings for the future of Eversteam and I’m so excited for you to see them some time!
